I had the worst experience at Hyundai of Palatine service department today. Dana was the Service Advisor and Chris was dealing with me. I reached right on time when my appointment was scheduled. Chris told me it will take about an hour. I went back to Chris after one hour to check on the status and he told me to wait as he is closing paperwork, after waiting for another 30 minutes I went back again as nothing happened, this time I asked Dana and she said we lost the paperwork so it’s going to take more time and she went out of f the room then I went up to Chris asking what is going on, he said they couldn’t do anything because their equipment is not working. I said why was I not informed, he said “things happen”. I got frustrated and asked them to return my car. They have no respect for their customers time. I told them I will post this review and see if anyone cares to contact me back as I ended up not getting any work on my car today.

Recent service experience was mediocre. The time my car was in service went past the estimate. My text to the service advisor asking for an update was never returned. Finally, after the service was completed, service advisor shortchanged me on the coupon I had presented when I saw the final bill. They had to re-do all the paperwork while I waited. No apology. I've only used this dealership for service, as I've never found them able to be price competitive with other dealers. Up to now, I was happy with the service dept. But yesterday was a big step back.
Sam kept me informed through the whole process. The time promised was very close to the time I got my car back.
The service department is typically very efficient but this time they were running way behind.

After having a terrible experience with my selling dealer I was referred to Hyundai of Palatine and now I know why. I was instantly greeted with a smile and welcoming presence. Sam was fantastic, got me checked in, explained the process and eta, and directed me to the lobby and advised of the amenities. Before I could even sit down, I had a text providing contact information and stated I could reach out with any questions. As I waited I observed the staff from various departments walking around and interacting with one another. All employees had smiles on their faces, got along with each other, and were interacting with customers. This is how you run a dealership! Thank you for providing excellent service.
Called to see what services my car required and scheduled a service appointment. When I went to the appointment, they wanted to do extra services for hundreds of dollars. Then they tried charging extra for “shop charges” that were not included in the estimate. I told them that I would not be paying that and Dana became argumentative about it. I asked to speak with the manager and waited awhile before they said they removed the extra charge. Wasted my time and no apology offered.
Thanks to Angelina for making my car purchase a pleasant experience. She did a great job of guiding me through the process and answering all my questions. The process was smooth and I got the car I like on the same day of the visit. I appreciate her time and effort.
Dana was just awesome as my Rep. She communicated well and made sure all my questions were answered. I appreciate the time she took to take care of my car.
I asked them to fix the usb that collapsed and it should be under warranty but they made up that the usb was also dirty and billed me for $200 the problem is that I only asked for a warranty repair to fix the usb socket so that it was in its place I did not ask to clean the usb socket !! they did this involuntarily to rip me off for payment also they wanted to replace the filter in the cabin for $100 which I did not agree to and I did it myself in 1 minute and the filter cost me $7, I believe that hunday palatine are incompetent people and swindlers who take advantage of women because of their lesser knowledge of vehicles, this is not how warranty service should look like !! especially since I bought an extended bumper to bumper warranty so that I wouldn't have these types of problems I believe that they are scammers and fraudsters as well I dare say that they are thieves because people and businesses shouldn't act like that and take advantage of people just because they are naive or because someone is a woman, even though I am satisfied with the car mechanically and quality wise I won't buy Hyundai again because I believe that they are scammers and you don't buy a new car for $60 with an extended warranty to then have a problem with dishonest practices at the dealer
